Professional Science Master’s in Bioinnovation
Learn to bridge science, business and innovation to help transform biological discoveries into real-world solutions with the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Bioinnovation from Temple’s College of Science and Technology. This 30-credit graduate degree program focuses on the translating biological discoveries into products, technologies and solutions that improve lives and create meaningful societal and economic impact. Students build interdisciplinary fluency across science and business while acquiring practical skills that can be applied immediately in professional settings across the life sciences sector.
Taught by industry experts and faculty scholars from both CST and the Fox School of Business and Management, the Bioinnovation PSM offers
- an interdisciplinary science and business curriculum,
- applied training in professional and management skills, and
- choice of a business- or science-focused curriculum to align with personal career goals.
The Bioinnovation PSM prepares you to work at the intersection of science, business, entrepreneurship and innovation through hands-on projects and a capstone addressing real-world challenges across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
Program Format & Curriculum
All students begin with an interdisciplinary core designed to build foundational fluency across science, business and innovation with courses such as
- Biomarkers and Biotargets: Research and Commercialization;
- Dissemination of Biodiscoveries and Virtual Reality in Medicine;
- Entrepreneurial Thinking and New Venture Creation; and
- Business Model Innovation.
Then, they tailor their Bioinnovation PSM experience to their interests and career goals through one of the two concentration pathways.
